Maddie to the rescue

Have an emergency? Maddie can help! You may wonder how a mere one year-old can help in an emergency. Well, we discovered today that Maddie is able to dial 9-1-1. Whoops.

She apparently tested her skills this afternoon while we were webcamming with her grammy and grampy. Our e-conversation was rudely interrupted by a rather insistent knock at the front door, where Phil discovered four (yes, four!) squad cars worth of heavily-armed law enforcement officials. Imagine our surprise. This all transpired about 5 mintues after Claire had a very loud meltdown in the backyard when I told her it was time to come inside. I'm pretty sure all of our neighbors (most of whom we have yet to meet, and many of whom Phil works with since we're on-base) think that we beat our children and got arrested for it.

All joking aside, we are aware that dialing 9-1-1 on accident is no laughing matter. We are pretty embarrassed.

So, did the web-cam catch it all? That would have been a site for the web!!!! Sorry... didn't mean to laugh... just almost been there. Glad I haven't had to live through that.
But, now you have a conversation starter with your neighbors!

We think she was trying to dial up her PawPaw and Mingma but got confused about the number. Tell her she can call us anytime.
